On 7th Dec and 9th Dec 2011, it was our pleasure to have Pixar's RenderMan team came to Shanghai and Beijing to host RenderMan Seminars with Altec. It was the first time to organize RenderMan event in Shanghai and there were tremendous feedback from the market.

The week after the trip to Shanghai and Beijing, Pixar's RenderMan team Mr. Peter Moxom and Mr. Dylan Sissons joined with Ms. Renee Lamri came to Hong Kong to host a series of RenderMan seminars.

Pixar's RenderMan 2011 China Tour

On 7th Dec and 9th Dec 2011, it was our pleasure to have Pixar’s RenderMan team came to Shanghai and Beijing to host RenderMan Seminars with Altec. It was the first time to organize RenderMan event in Shanghai and there were tremendous feedback from the market. Over 200 attendees came to join our seminar. In Beijing, it was the second time since two years ago they came. This time we had more than 750 people attended the event. Everybody was so excited about the event that some attendees already arrived two hours prior to the event in order to secure a seat.

During the two events, Mr. Dylan Sissons who was RenderMan Product Specialist and Mr. Peter Moxom who was RenderMan Worldwide Channel Manager shared with us the RenderMan product updates. Examples like Cars2 were demonstrated to show how RenderMan was utilized to efficiently handle the large scene file and render tasks. An carefully planned RenderMan pipeline could sometimes help to speed up the rendering time 50-100 times or even more for certain large scenes.
